The data
Each point is a named source-reported facility record, reviewed on 2026-09-25. A marker can identify a physical site or only a source-reported label and locality. The detail card gives its location precision and the date of the status evidence. Capacity and occupancy appear only where a source supports a dated figure.
Sources and limitations
The register combines 252 linked sources, including official publications, local authority records and reporting, with claim-level links in each site card. It is not a complete Home Office estate list or a live occupancy count. Approximate town-centre points do not identify individual buildings, and evidence dates do not imply opening or closure dates. The CSV reflects the displayed map selection and retains site IDs, source IDs, evidence dates and data version. Suggest a correction or update.
